That is one killer blog posting. A lot of people I know need to read those words and take them to heart.

As far as favorite blog post, I really didn't have any "great" ones this year. Maybe next year. It'll give me something to shoot for...

Lauree - Good point!

Brad - I don't want to speak for Jon but I can say I while I an somewhat conservative I get frustrated with conservatives who idolize their politics because it closes people off to the real gospel. When I became a believer I was far from conservative in politics or lifestyle and that always turned me off -- and that was before the days of 24hr news stations.

Sarah - I couldn't agree more!

Oh, man! This is a doozy! This is something I have really come to realize over the last year, and I couldn't agree more! Politically, I am limited govt conservative libertarian. I do realize that we cannot legislate morality, we need to reach people with Christ's LOVE first!

As for social issues, I feel strongly about keeping drugs illegal, because I have seen the victims. But I don't care who gets married or whether the 10 commandments are displayed in a courthouse. The commandments are meaningless without Jesus' redemption in my opinion. They serve to show us how sinful we are.

Well, I'll resist preaching a sermon, but right on Nicole!

Whether it's conservatism or liberalism, I think you can make a case that both are dangerous to the Gospel and I think that's what McIntosh is saying, he just points out conservatives because apparently no one likes conservatives. :) LOL! (I'm a conservative, and not just because I'm a Christian, or Conservatism doesn't make me a Christian, LOL!)

But in any case, it's good not to confuse ideologies like the two mentioned above...but my question is, does our theology to influence our political ideology?

As far as favorite blog post, I don't have one. I'll see if I can find one.

i don't have a favorite blog post mainly because i have to think about what has been written for a while. sometimes i leave comments and later realize that i did not say what i intended to say..... or worse yet that after consideration i don't agree with myself anymore.

one thing i learn over and over is that everything you read should challenge, inspire, and make you look at Jesus for truth.... there is no individual writer or point of view that can do that for me.
